Teresa’s approach to physiotherapy is strongly influenced by her 15 years of teaching Pilates experience. She believes Pilates is an invaluable tool to inform healthy movement patterns, restore range of motion, build strength, and empower patients to achieve lasting results. Teresa also incorporates other techniques into treatment plans, including manual therapy and dry needling, ensuring a well-rounded and comprehensive approach to healing.

Originally from the United States, Teresa, first discovered the transformative benefits of Pilates in 2004 whilst recovering from a dance-related injury. After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, she relocated to San Francisco where she completed the renown 600-hour Fletcher Pilates Program, developed by Pilates elder Ron Fletcher. She’s since complimented her classical Pilates background by completing contemporary and clinical training and is currently a Pilates educator for the Barre Body Group.

She holds a Doctorate of Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne, and has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings.

With her holistic approach to recovery, Teresa is able to tailor treatments that address the unique needs of each client, helping them restore function, alleviate pain, and enhance their overall quality of life.
